Neymar lashes out on social media after another injury rules him out of Barca tie

Neymar is expected to miss around a month of action after suffering a thigh injury earlier this week and he is set to miss both of PSG's Champions League last-16 round legs against the Catalans.

The Brazilian has slammed his critics on Instagram as he 'just wants to be happy playing football'.

"The sadness is great, the pain is immense and the crying is constant," Neymar wrote on Instagram on Thursday.

“Once again, I will stop for a while doing what I love the most in life, which is playing football. Sometimes I feel uncomfortable because of my style of play, because I dribble and they constantly hit me.

"I don't know if the problem is me or what I do on the field. It saddens me a lot. It saddens me a lot to hear from a player, coach, commentator or whoever the hell it is, that ‘you really have to hit him’, ‘he falls’, ‘he cries’, ‘a child’, ‘spoiled’ etc.

"It honestly saddens me and I don't even know how much I can bear it. I just want to be happy playing football. NOTHING ELSE."

The Brazilian suffered a thigh injury in Paris Saint-Germain's 1-0 win over Caen in the French Cup on Wednesday. He's set to spend around a month on the sidelines, the Parisians confirmed earlier this week.

Thus, the 29-year-old won't face Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League last-16 round at Camp Nou on Tuesday, February 16. Neymar also remains doubtful for the return clash at the Parc des Princes on March 10.
