Pedri confident reaching Spanish Cup final despite first-leg loss at Sevilla

Barca lost at Sevilla 2-0 in the first semi-final of the Spanish Cup on Wednesday.

The Catalans are more than capable of securing a place in the final in the return game on March 3, insists Pedri.

"Well, we have had a really clear chance for Leo Messi and immediately after have scored us a goal, and it was tough, and that has affected us," Pedri said after Barcelona's 2-0 defeat at the hands of Sevilla in the first leg of the Spanish Cup semi-final on Wednesday.

"We had chances, there's also a possible penalty in our favour and VAR hasn't checked it but well, we have had chances, but we'd been unlucky in front of goal.

"Well, of course, we still have to play 90 minutes and we still have time to come back. Don't forget Granada, everything can change in a few minutes and we will go for it."

The Catalans progressed to the semis after beating Granada 5-3 in extra time last week. Ronald Koeman's men were 2-0 behind until the 88th minute when Antoine Griezmann scored Barca's opener at Los Carmenes.

The Blaugrana will be hoping for a similar comeback in the return encounter with Sevilla at Camp Nou on March 3.
