Real Madrid striker Benzema doesn't want to give up on the Pichichi

Karim Benzema is hungry for more. With Real Madrid hosting Valencia in LaLiga Santander this Sunday, their No.9 doesn't want to fall away in the race for the Pichichi and wants to keep pressure on Luis Suarez and co. at the top of this season's scoring charts.

The Uruguayan has 16 goals to his name already this term, Youssef En-Nesyri has 13 and Lionel Messi's Saturday night brace took him to 15 in LaLiga Santander, just one off his former Barcelona teammate.

Benzema wants to react. He already has 16 goals across all competitions this season, with 11 of those having come in LaLiga Santander.

The Frenchman knows that Suarez's lead is comfortable and he can't afford to let him pull further clear.

He's excited by the challenge and he wants to stay in the fight for as long as he possibly can.

Sergio Ramos' absence could open a door for Benzema as well, as he becomes the designated penalty taker and the one responsible for freekicks close to the box.

With three goals in his last four LaLiga Santander appearances, Benzema will be hungry for more against Valencia on Sunday.
