Spezia vs AC Milan Preview and Prediction 2021

I Rossoneri are hot favourites to enhance their near flawless away record when they take on a Spezia outfit who have won just one from ten at home this term. Read on for our free Serie A predictions and betting tips.

AC Milan are unbeaten in their ten away league trips this season, winning nine.

Spezia have won just one of their ten starts at Stadio Alberto Picco this term, losing six.

Seven of Milan’s ten outings on the road have produced over 2.5 goals, with the same applying to seven of Spezia’s ten home fixtures.

Leaders Unlikely to Falter in Liguria

Leaders AC Milan can solidify their position at the top of Serie A when they face Spezia this Saturday night, in what should be a high scoring contest at Stadio Alberto Picco.

Milan were hit by COVID-19 towards the end of last month which clearly influenced their 0-3 home defeat to Atalanta and 2-1 Coppa Italia exit at the hands of cross-city adversaries Inter,  but I Rossoneri now appear to be firmly back on track following consecutive victories against Bologna (1-2) and Crotone (4-0).

Those wins have kept Stefano Pioli’s men in control by two points at the head of affairs and they’re likely to encounter few problems this weekend when they make the trip to Liguria.

Milan eased past Spezia 3-0 in October’s reverse fixture at the San Siro and they travel to Stadio Alberto Picco unbeaten in ten away trips this season, winning nine.

16th placed Spezia returned to winning ways with a decent 1-2 success at Sassuolo last time out, though it’s hard to envisage them testing the Milanese here based on the last meeting between the teams and their record of one win and six defeats from ten at home this term.

It’s no surprise then that we’re backing a Milan victory this Saturday night but we’re also coupling the result with over 2.5 goals, which has been the outcome in seven of Milan’s ten starts on the road and in seven of Spezia’s ten home matches so far this season.

The underdogs could well bag themselves a consolation having scored in all but five of their 21 league outings, so 1-3 is our correct score prediction with the visitors likely to bolster their average of just over two goals per game this term.
