Todibo reveals Valverde was under pressure, that's why I didn't play more at Barcelona

Todibo doesn't regret his Barca move despite having played very little. He claims he learned a lot from the likes of Pique, Umtiti, and Lenglet.

"Do I regret joining Barcelona at such a young age? No, not at all. Barca continues to be a very great experience. I learned a lot from Gerard Pique, Samuel Umtiti, Clement Lenglet. It did me good. I discovered a very, very high level," Jean-Clair Todibo has said, as quoted by Barcablaugranes.

“I did not succeed because there were very, very big players in front of me. I also had a coach, Ernesto Valverde, who was under pressure, with a crowd that put a lot of pressure, so it was normal for him to put Gerard Pique instead of an inexperienced 19-year-old."

Todibo joined Barca in January 2019. During his time at the club, he only made five appearances. He's also been on loan at Schalke 04 and Benfica. The youngster has recently joined Nice on loan with an €8.5m buy clause included.
