'Umtiti has improved physically a lot. I see him doing fine': Koeman

Ronald Koeman says that Samuel Umtiti is available for Wednesday's cup game against Granada.

The Dutchman is happy to have competition in the centre-back position.

"Umtiti has improved physically a lot, it's his turn to recover well to get a rhythm going. I see him doing fine, he has trained without problems and he's available for tomorrow [Wednesday's Copa del Rey game vs Granada]. It's good to have competition also in this position," Ronald Koeman has told the media.

Samuel Umtiti was among Barca's greatest performers in the 2-1 win over Athletic Bilbao on Sunday. The Frenchman produced a few important tackles and was also decent while keeping the ball at his feet.

The 27-year-old has made just 122 appearances for Blaugrana despite spending his 5th year at the club already.
