Edinson Cavani’s Father Reveals Why His Son Will Leave Man Utd

Edinson Cavani is set to leave Manchester United at the end of the season and head back to South America this summer.

And the Uruguay striker’s father has claimed the Red Devils striker is “uncomfortable” at Old Trafford.

His father, Luis, has told Argentinian outlet Superfutbol that he was left “very upset” by a three-match ban he received earlier in the season for an offensive social media post and is now looking to leave United this summer.

Cavani Sr has also revealed that his son wants to join Boca Juniors next after holding talks with vice-president Juan Roman Riquelme.

“My son does not feel comfortable in England and wants to be close to the family again,” he is quoted as saying.

“Edinson is going to end up playing in South America.

As well as the three-match ban, the former PSG and Napoli ace was also fined £100,000 by the FA for the offensive remark he made on Instagram in November.

The 34-year-old was also ordered to complete face-to-face education after admitting a charge for a breach of FA Rule E3.
