Elche vs Sevilla Preview and Prediction 2021

Elche vs Sevilla predictions for Saturday’s Serie A meeting at the Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero. Sevilla will be looking to return to winning ways when they visit relegation-threatened Elche in La Liga on Saturday. Here are our free betting tips and predictions ahead of the fixture.

Elche have won just one of their last 19 La Liga matches

Sevilla boast the joint-best defensive record away from home in La Liga this season.

The visitors are unbeaten in eight matches against Elche, winning the last two to nil.

Sevilla to bounce back at Elche

Sevilla have endured arguably their toughest week of the season, as they followed up a home defeat to Barcelona in the league by losing to the same opponent in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey.

Indeed, Julen Lopetegui’s side have lost three of their last four games across all competitions, but they had won six consecutive La Liga matches prior to their 2-0 loss to Barca last weekend.

The Andalusians also boast one of the best defensive records in La Liga, as only leaders Atletico Madrid have conceded fewer league goals, while Sevilla also have the joint-best defence on the road.

Indeed, 11 of Sevilla’s 15 league wins this season have been to nil, while each of their last two victories over Elche have also seen them keep clean-sheets.

Elche are in danger of suffering an immediate relegation back to the Segunda Division, as a run of one win in 19 matches has left them second bottom of the standings.

Fran Escriba’s side have also failed to win any of their last eight meetings with Sevilla and we are predicting another victory for the visitors on Saturday.

We are also predicting that victory to be to nil, as Sevilla have kept five clean-sheets in their last six league games, while Elche are averaging less than a goal a game in La Liga – they have struck 21 from their 24 matches to date.
