Folarin Balogun unfollow Arsenal On His Instagram account: Exit imminent

Folarin Balogun’s future looks increasingly set to leave Arsenal -whom he joined at the age of eight – due to a lack of minutes at senior level.

Balogun is being targeted by a number of Bundesliga clubs having made just five senior appearances this season.

The US-born 19-year-old has found himself unable to prove his worth to boss Mikel Arteta in his quest for minutes.

Arteta has previously expressed confidence that the highly-rated youngster will remain at the Emirates, but no signed deal has been forthcoming.

However, he is still down the pecking order in attack as Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Eddie Nketiah are all ahead of him, while Gabriel Martinelli can also be used in that role too.

Over the weekend, Balogun didn’t feature for either the seniors in their win at Leicester – he wasn’t on the bench either, nor did he appear for the Under-23s in their 4-0 defeat at Liverpool.

He also completely purged his Instagram account, deleting all references to Arsenal, his career and every previous post.

Why he’s done so isn’t clear, but that hasn’t stopped the online conspiracy theories.
