Ighalo Two Goal hands his team 2-1 win over Damac

Former Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo scored a brace for Al Shabab in their 2-1 win over Damac in the Saudi Arabia Professional League match on Monday.

The ex-Super Eagles forward opened the scoring for the Lions in the 12th minute at the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium, Abha, Saudi Arabia.

Eight minutes after, Emilio Zelaya levelled for the knight of the south.

The former Manchester United player, however, scored the second goal — which turns out to be the winner — of the match in the 39th minute.

All efforts by Kresimir Rezic’s men to ensure they get back into the game proved abortive as the visitors snatched all three points at stake.

Ighalo now has three goals in four appearances for Al Shabab.

The 31-year-old, who moved from Shanghai Shenhua to Saudi in January, opened his goal account for the Lions in the 4-0 away win against Al Nassr on February 14.

Al Shabab, who are looking to win their seventh league title, top the table with 44 points from 21 matches.
