Jordi Cruyff on possible return to Barcelona: We'll see

Jordi Cruyff's is one of the names that has been continuously linked with Barcelona since Joan Laporta won the presidential election, but he's not giving much away about where his future lies.

The Dutchman is currently coaching at Chinese outfit Shenzhen and doesn't want to comment on the links to Barcelona out of respect for his employers.

"We'll see," he said, when asked about whether or not he was set to move to the Camp Nou.

"At the moment, I'm here, far away.

"Fate is only known by the one above. Whatever has to be, will be.

"Now I'm doing my job here, the job I'm paid to do.

"I'm not here to flirt with other clubs."

Cruyff's compatriot Ronald Koeman has impressed this season with Barcelona and he has the Catalans as unlikely LaLiga Santander title contenders.

"He deserves a lot of credit for what he's doing," Cruyff said.

"He came to the club at a difficult time. There was a lot of change with players, economic problems, and institutional crises.

"He's had a year that's been worth two or three. It's been very busy and I think knowing the club environment game him an advantage. He knows how things work in good times and bad.

"They've moved past their bad feelings and they can win anywhere. They're on a good run and have picked up more than 90 percent of the points on offer in 2021.

"Their slip against Cadiz brought pessimism, but they're making a really good impression."
