PSG director Leonardo denies talks with Messi over potential move to Paris

The Parisians' official assures that the club are fully focused on the current campaign.

He explains that PSG first need to assess their financial situation.

"Leo Messi? We [PSG] are focused on the current season... we are monitoring the market, but we have not thought about our future plans yet, apart from a few contract extensions," the Parisians' sporting director Leonardo has told RMC Sport.

"We need to assess our financial capabilities at the end of the season," he added.

A few days ago, it was reported that Leo Messi's father, Jorge Messi, planned to have a talk regarding Leo's future life in Paris, but cancelled it to talk to Joan Laporta instead.

Messi's current deal expires in July 2021 which means that he's already free to discuss his future with other clubs.
