Turkey vs Latvia Preview and Prediction 2021

Turkey vs Latvia predictions for Tuesday’s 2022 World Cup Qualifier in Istanbul. The Turks have a woeful head to head record against Latvia, but they’re backed to confidently start putting that right this week. Read on for our free World Cup Qualifying predictions and betting tips.

Turkey have opened their Group G campaign extremely impressively with cosy victories over Netherlands (4-2) and Norway (0-3).

Latvia have lost both of their first two Group G matches, while they were also defeated in nine of their ten Euro 2020 Qualifiers.

The visitors lost by three goals or more in four of their Euro 2020 Qualifying outings.

Turks to stay firing in Istanbul

Turkey have made an outstanding start to their 2022 World Cup Qualifying campaign and they’re fancied to comfortably dispatch lowly Latvia in Istanbul this Tuesday.

Senol Gunes’ side top Group G after a fine 4-2 success over the Dutch here a week ago and a facile 0-3 victory away to Norway on Saturday.

Remarkably, they’ve never beaten Latvia in five previous encounters (D4, L1) but that should change emphatically here, with the visitors losing 11 of their last 12 qualifiers stretching back to the Euro 2020 Qualifying campaign.

The away side were beaten by three goals or more on four occasions in that campaign and while they weren’t disgraced in a 2-0 loss to the Dutch at the weekend, they may well ship more goals this Tuesday against a side clearly thriving and brimming with confidence at present.

The Turks look a quality outfit well capable of topping this section and we’re backing them to cover a two goal handicap in this clash, alongside a 4-0 correct score.
