All the Granada players were trying to get me out: Paul Pogba

The captain of the night was unfairly given a yellow card in the first half and Pogba had to be taken off at half-time to avoid a red before the semi-finals.

Speaking to BT Sport after the 2-0 win over Granada, Paul Pogba explained: "The yellow card was unfortunate. It wasn't a yellow card for me but you have to accept it. We won the game, that's the most important thing.

"I know the foul just after it [his yellow card], I saw all the [Granada] players trying to get me out. [Ole Gunnar Solskjaer thought] it's better I come off before a red card."

It was a decision that paid off in the end. Granada players were clearly targeting Pogba, who was named the captain in Harry Maguire's absence.

Nevertheless, the 28-year-old can now play for Manchester United in the Europa League semi-finals against AS Roma.
