Barcelona won't pay any termination penalty if socios vote against joining Super League

Barcelona are not obliged to pay any termination penalty for quitting the European Super League, reliable TV3 report.

On Monday, the club officially announced that they are among the founding clubs of the ESL. The breakaway tournament has been suspended since then after all six Premier League clubs withdrew from it on Tuesday night.

The Catalans, however, won't join the ESL if the club's socios vote against the idea.

The clause that allows Barca to avoid paying termination fees to the Super League was included by the club's president Joan Laporta in the foundational document of the proposed competition.
