Elo world rankings; Barcelona slip behind Real Madrid to 5th

Elo is a credible and objective ranking that estimates the strength of a club based on its overall average performance against opponents and their team strength.

Elo rankings do not consider the most recent match results but rely on previous statistics and metrics which highlight a team's strength and weakness.

Barcelona has slipped to 5th in the most recent Elo world ranking, as compiled by Clubelo.

The Blaugrana are bettered by bitter rivals Real Madrid who have moved up to 3rd. Manchester City top the ranking while 2nd-placed Bayern Munich and 4th-placed Manchester United complete the top 5.

Surprisingly, Paris Saint-Germain are 10th on the list.
