“The Super League project is on standby. The clubs are together, even though the situation changed. If someone believes that the Super League is dead, they are very wrong,” Florentino Perez has said in an interview with Cadena SER.
“I have spoken with Laporta. Of course, Barсa continues in the Super League.”
As things stand now, Real Madrid and Barcelona are the only out of 12 founding clubs of the ESL that haven't withdrawn from the breakaway tournament.
The Catalans, however, won't take part in the ESL if the club's socios vote against it due to a clause in the tournament's founding document inserted by Laporta.
