Hazard hoping to play against Liverpool, his favourite victim

Just 24 hours away from Real Madrid's first leg against Liverpool, Eden Hazard trained on the pitch with his teammates again at Valdebebas on Monday.

The feelings around the Belgian are good, and he might be the biggest change to Zinedine Zidane's XI against the English champions. He has been out since March 13, but he's been training with his teammates since Friday and a decision will be made about his availability after Monday's session, with Hazard himself having the final say.

Hazard was seriously considering a return to the operating room recently, only to be talked out of it, and now every step of his return to action will be decided by himself, while working hand in hand with Real Madrid's medical team.

The No.7 isn't lacking desire to get back on the pitch, and he undoubtedly wants to take on Liverpool, who were one of his favourite opponents during his Chelsea days.

In 18 games against the Reds, he lost just four, winning six and drawing eight. He scored seven goals and added two assists, putting Liverpool alongside Arsenal and Newcastle as his favourite victims. Jurgen Klopp's side have always feared him, and the damage he can do to them was seen when he scored a sublime solo effort at Anfield in 2018, which handed the Blues a 2-1 win in the 85th minute.

There's every chance that he'll only play 10 or 15 minutes against Liverpool and Barcelona, but if he's confident and happy with his condition, he can do a lot of damage in that amount of time.

Laughs, positivity, and Fede Valverde

Hazard looked happy in training on Monday, and there was a lot of laughter and positivity among the squad.

The other good news on Monday was that Fede Valverde joined the group to train, giving Zidane more depth in midfield.
