'I love Bobby but he has to go': Fans urge Liverpool to sell striker

The Reds' stuggles this season have prompted this supporter to call for a renewal of the front three starting from this summer.

"While the VVD/Gomez injuries have undeniably had an effect on us, I am starting to distance away from the thought that it is the sole cause of our troubles this season," sympathytaste, a Liverpool fan on Reddit, writes.

"The front three are having an absolute famine ever since Crystal Palace away and are a large reason why we are in the shit state.

"They need urgent replacement. I love Bobby and no matter what he will always be a legend in this club and a vital player for our greatest modern era.

"That said, he has to go. He can't score a goal to save his life and he is becoming a passenger in this side.

"Mane has been disappointing this season and last night was one of his worst matches, pretty much doing his best John Cena impression for the whole game. However, I believe it's all down to burnout and you know Sadio has it in him somewhere and I think he will come good again soon.

"Mo obviously is one of our best players this season and the main reason why we aren't fighting relegation. We need a proper striker to replace Bobby and maybe a few more depth in front three."

This season, Roberto Firmino has scored just 6 goals, the last of those coming on January 28 when he scored the opener in an away game against Tottenham.
