I would've loved to have played more with Messi: Ronaldinho

The Ex Barcelona midfielder Ronaldinho said during his interview with Gulf News in 2016 that he has achieved everything he wanted to and is grateful for that,"

"Of course, I would have loved to have played more with Messi, he's a great player and I'm very glad to have helped him at the beginning of his career with the assistance of his first goal.

"Having seen him go on to become such a great player, it would have been great to have played more with him, but at that time my period at Barca was over and it was time for me to move to achieve new things and set new objectives, so the time had come for me to leave."

Leo Messi had started training with Barcelona's first team in 2003, shortly after Ronaldinho's move to Camp Nou. After one of the Argentine's first sessions alongside the Brazilian, the latter tipped then 16-year-old Leo to become an even better player than himself.

The pair had shared the dressing room for five years before Ronnie was deemed surplus to requirements by Pep Guardiola and subsequently sold to AC Milan in 2008.
