Laporta assures Barca Fans that Messi wants to stay

Barca President was interviewed after Barcelona cup win against Bilbao and he gave the fans something extra to go with.

"I am convinced that Leo Messi wants to stay, we are going to make the proposal for him to stay, within our possibilities. Today he has given a great football lesson, he has once again demonstrated his great abillities, that of the best player in the world." Joan Laporta said after the Copa del Rey win.

As a reminder, Messi's contract at Barcelona expires in July. It's said that the Argentine will make a decision regarding his future at the end of the season.

"We really wanted to win again, against a great rival. Our players deserved to win a title again, I'm happy for them, for the technical staff and for the fans," Laporta added.

After beating Athletic Bilbao 4-0 in the final, Blaugrana have lifted their 31st Copa del Rey trophy. It is the first trophy of Laporta's second presidential term.
