Vitoria Guimaraes have lost their last four league games and have won just one of their last ten, losing six.

The visitors are without a victory in five away outings, losing their last three.

Portimonense have won two of their last four Primeira Liga fixtures including a 1-5 thrashing of Nacional last time out.

The hosts claimed seven points from three home matches in Portimao prior to their 1-2 reverse against Porto three weeks ago.

Hosts to pounce on Vitoria’s recent slump

Vitoria Guimaraes have lost their last four league starts and Os Conquistadores could well suffer another defeat in Portimao this Friday evening.

Boss Joao Henriques bit the dust following last weekend’s miserable 1-2 reverse at home to Tondela and his dismissal came as no surprise based on Vitoria’s recent string of beatings, as well as the fact they’ve now won just one of their last ten matches (D3, L6).

Guimaraes are now clinging onto the final Europa Conference League qualification berth but their position may worsen this weekend if Portimonense can replicate their improved showings of late.

The hosts have won two of their last four including a 1-5 thrashing of Nacional a week ago, while they claimed seven points from three recent outings at Estadio Municipal de Portimao prior to their 1-2 defeat against Porto before the international break.

We’re backing Paulo Sergio’s men to stick the boot into the slumping visitors and with the hosts keeping clean sheets in two of their last three games here and Guimaraes failing to net in two of their last three away trips, we’re also forecasting a 1-0 score-line.
