Normal service may be resumed in Paris

Only goal difference separates title rivals PSG and Lille at the top of the Ligue 1 charts, but normal service may be resumed at the Parc Des Princes.

PSG have secured Ligue 1 silverware in seven of the last eight seasons, barely breaking sweat to rack up a hat-trick of titles.

But with eight games to go, the Parisians are locked in an epic four-team duel for title supremacy and manager Mauricio Pochettino will know their complacencies cannot continue.

PSG have lost three of their last nine league matches, suffering back-to-back defeats at home to Monaco and Nantes.

But Pochettino’s side were convincing 3-0 victors at home to Lille in the last-16 of the Coupe de France in mid-March, and they have a habit of delivering when it matters most.

The Parisians were cosy 4-2 winners at title rivals Lyon in their final game before the international break, while Lille were beaten 2-1 at home to third-bottom Nimes.

The visitors have started to falter as the pressure has been ramped up and they have now dropped points in four of their last six league assignments.

With Neymar and Angel Di Maria having recently returned from injury, PSG have a near full-strength attack and their extra firepower – they have netted 67 goals in 30 league games – may be the difference between the two sides.

PSG have won each of their last seven home meetings with Lille and we predict their dominance can continue.

Correct-score punters should plunge for a 2-0 home win – PSG have recorded four straight clean sheets against Lille, who have failed to score in back-to-back road fixtures.
