PSG have won five of their last six encounters with Saint-Etienne

PSG have won four of their last six matches in all competitions

Over 2.5 goals have been scored in four of PSG’s and four of Saint-Etienne’s last six fixtures

PSG need a win to keep the pressure on the league leaders Lille

PSG might have lost 1-0 at home to Bayern Munich in midweek but that result proved enough for the Ligue 1 side to qualify for the semi-finals of the Champions League. Saint-Etienne haven’t played since they thrashed Bordeaux 4-1 at home on Sunday, a much-needed win that took the club onto 39pts for the season.

These two sides played out a 1-1 draw when they locked horns for their reverse league fixture in January, but PSG have won five of the duo’s last six head-to-heads. PSG also claimed the title of form favourites ahead of Sunday’s clash as they have won four of their last six outings in all competitions. Saint-Etienne have been more hit and miss of late, winning three and losing three of their last six fixtures.

We’re expecting goals in this game for both clubs as three of PSG’s and three of Saint-Etienne’s last six matches have ended with both teams getting on the scoreboard, so there have been a distinct lack of clean sheets for both sides lately. Both teams have also been involved in their fair share of high-scoring matches over the last month or so, with over 2.5 goals being produced in four of both side’s last six outings.

We’re predicting a PSG win and over 2.5 goals being scored on Sunday, with the final scoreline to end 3-1. PSG are in great goal-scoring form right now, even though they failed to score in midweek, and we don’t believe that Saint-Etienne will be able to cope with their host’s attacking threat.
