Real Madrid Possible line next 2 seasons if they purchase Mbappe and Haaland

Florentino Perez will remain in post until 2025 and one of his rumoured objectives is bringing in a star striker. We look at how Real Madrid might shape up with one.

Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are two players on everyone's lips right now and we may them soon in Real Madrid's colours: Flo Perez will reportedly go for one or both after being re-elected president until 2025.

Given the financial situation and demands to land them, we think it's unlikely that both Mbappe and Haaland will join this summer; however, we can see them joining in consecutive summer windows.

So we decided to assess how Real Madrid will line up next season and the one after that.

Potential 2021/22 starting XI

Mbappe joins as the financially more viable option and is fielded on the right - this will allow to keep the thriving Vinicius on the left.

The trio in midfield remains unchanged: however, Luka Modric is slowly fazed out as another extension looks unlikely.

Sergio Ramos leaves Real Madrid after months of uncertainly, the newly-signed David Alaba replaces him in the XI.

Potential 2022/23 starting XI

Karim Benzema leaves at the age of 34 to finish his career at Lyon - Haaland replaces his as the spearhead.

Modric retires at the age of 36, Fede Valverde picks up the mantle in central midfield.

Raphael Varane leaves in search of a new challenge after 11 years at the club: Eder Militao takes up his spot in the XI.
