Why Bruno Fernandes Has Been Stalling On New Man Utd Contract Revealed

One man who will be keeping a keen eye on Paul Pogba’s situation is Bruno Fernandes, who like the Frenchman is one of Manchester United’s best players.

The Portuguese has become a crucial member of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side since joining in January 2020 on a five-year contract.

Despite United reportedly being ready to double his wages, Fernandes has been stalling on those talks, with The Sun reporting he is waiting to see what happens to Pogba.

The midfielder is believed to view Pogba as critical to United’s hopes of challenging Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.

And it is that view which has led to him stalling over a new contract until Pogba’s future at United has been clarified.

But with Pogba now seemingly ready to at least enter into talks over a new contract, a big step has been taken towards him staying at Old Trafford.

That step could now also see Fernandes’ position on his own talks thaw so that the Red Devils can secure the future of one of their best players.
