Chelsea Jorginho insists his side are 'ready for everything' against Man City

Chelsea will be 'ready for everything' that Manchester City throw at them in the Champions League final, midfielder Jorginho insists.

The duo face off in Porto on Saturday evening with Pep Guardiola's side aiming to add their first ever Champions League crown to their Premier League and Carabao Cup titles this season.

The Europa League final in midweek saw Villarreal defeat Manchester United in a penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes.

But Jorginho claims should that scenario play out again in the Champions League final, his side will be able to adapt to the situation.

'We are prepared but I'm not going to say how,' the 29-year-old Italian midfielder said in a pre-match press conference.

'But I think this game can be solved in details and maybe the opportunities to change things for us not just for me but the whole team trains and will be ready for everything that is coming tomorrow.'

The Blues have won the Champions League on one occasion previously, needing penalties on that night in May 2012 to beat Bayern Munich in the German city.

That historic day came just three months before current club captain Cesar Azpilicueta left Marseille for west London.

And the 31-year-old Spaniard now wants to finish off a topsy-turvy season which saw Thomas Tuchel replace Frank Lampard as boss and eventually Chelsea finishing in the top four with a repeat of the club's European success nine years ago.

'To get here today is massive credit to the group. We have been working so hard but we want to make it special and that means winning tomorrow,' he said.

'This season, it had everything. In December we beat Sevilla 4-0, top of the group, top in the league and it was going well. Then we had two months of bad results, change of manager.

'Unfortunately I wasn't here in 2012. Personally, when I signed for Chelsea I wanted to repeat that. It has taken nine years and now we have this opportunity ahead of us that we want to take.

'We will always fight for everything. In the Premier League we finished fourth and that is not where we want to be. That is the challenge for next season but tomorrow, it means a lot.'
