Both teams have scored in six of the last seven meetings between Crystal Palace and Arsenal.

Arsenal have lost only two of their last 11 Premier League away games.

Arsenal have won three league game in a row.

Arsenal have kept only three clean sheets in their last 15 league matches.

Last home game for Palace

Crystal Palace are in familiar mid-table limbo as we enter the final week of the Premier League season, and the Eagles’ inconsistency could leave them disappointed in their final home game of the campaign against Arsenal on Wednesday.

Palace twice came from behind to beat Aston Villa 3-2 at Selhurst Park on Sunday, though that was only their fourth win at home in 2021 and their third victory in 11 assignments since the end of February.

Christian Benteke, Eberechi Eze and Wilfried Zaha were the architects of the Eagles’ success against Villa, and that in-form trio should create problems for Arsenal on Wednesday.

Gunners find form

Arsenal completed a hattrick of successive Premier League wins for only the second time this season last week with a confidence-building 1-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The Gunners’ surprise win over their London rivals also pushed their winning streak on the road to three games and Mikel Arteta’s charges have lost just twice in their last 11 league fixtures away from the Emirates Stadium overall.

Points but no clean sheet for hosts?

While results have improved, Arsenal’s defensive record is still subpar and the Gunners have kept just three clean sheets in their last 15 top-flight tussles since January.

It’s also worth noting that Arsenal have kept Palace off the scoresheet in just one of the clubs’ last eight encounters. Both teams have scored in six of the most recent seven of those contests, and the same market appeals for Wednesday’s game.

With Zaha, Benteke and Eze working in tandem, the Eagles should be able to land a blow against Arsenal, though the Gunners improving fortunes and excellent run of results on the road earns them a 2-1 correct score prediction in their favour.

Crystal Palace injuries and team news

Roy Hodgson has plenty of personnel problems to contend with this week. Mamadou Sakho, Nathan Ferguson, Connor Wickham, James McArthur, Luka Milivojevic, Patrick van Aanholt and Nathaniel Clyne could all miss out for varying reasons.

Arsenal injures and team news

David Luiz has been ruled out of Wednesday’s game for Arsenal, while Granit Xhaka and Hector Bellerin are both in a race to be fit.
