Eden Hazard looking for a way out of Real Madrid

Journalist Edu Aguirre maintains that the Belgian player is hankering for a return to Premier League side Chelsea.

Eden Hazard wants to leave Real Madrid. Speaking on 'El Chiringuito de Jugones', Spanish journalist Edu Aguirre claims that the Belgian player is not happy in Madrid and fearing that the possible arrival of  MbappĂ© will see him edged down the pecking order at Real Madrid. Hazard has been plagued with injury in his two years in the Spanish capital and has failed to deliver the performances that many anticipated. A return to former club Chelsea is high on the list of priorities maintains Alvarez.

The Belgian winger arrived in June 2019 at the Santiago BernabĂ©u outfit for  a fee of 100 million (plus bonuses) penning a deal that runs through to June 2024. Just this week, once again, the player was ruled out of participating in the final game of the 2020/21 campaign with a muscular problem.

Hazard has played 43 games for the LaLiga club over the two years, scoring five goals and delivering eight assists in this time. His first season in Spain saw him participate in 1,545 minutes of LaLiga and Champions League match action. This season the Belgian has only been involved in 896 minutes over 21 games and his playing time in the Real Madrid shirt works out at approximately 40,000 euro per minute.

Hazard's immediate thoughts now focus on the delayed European Championships with his Belgian side pitted in Group B with the 'Red Devils' set to face: Russia, Finland and Denmark.
