Facundo Pellistri’s Future Decided After Deportivo Alaves Loan Spell

Manchester United have reportedly decided the future of winger Facundo Pellistri as his loan spell at Deportivo Alaves comes to a close.

Though Alaves have been battling relegation, the 19-year-old has made 10 appearances in La Liga, mainly being selected on the right wing.

With the loan having been a successful one, it now appears that the Uruguayan will be rewarded by being given Pellistri for a full season.

According to Calciomercato, the youngster is expected to return to the Mendizorrotza Stadium for the whole of next season.

They report that the two clubs “have almost defined the agreement” to extend Pellistiri’s stay in the Basque region until the end of next term.

The deal is though tied to Alaves’ attempt to avoid relegation, with the agreement set to be re-evaluated if Calleja’s men drop into the Segunda División.

It seems likely that that situation will be avoided though, with Alaves currently sitting three places and four points outside of the relegation zone.
