Guardiola breaks into tears when discussing Aguero departure

Pep Guardiola could not hide his emotion when talking about the departing Sergio Aguero, who played his final game for Manchester City against Everton on Sunday.

The City boss, who just guided his side to the Premier League title, was full of praise for the Argentine who had just completed his tenth season with the club, and capped off his time with the club with two goals off the bench in a 5-0 rout.

"We love him very much. He has been a very special person for all of us. We cannot replace him. He has always shown his quality here," Guardiola told Sky Sports.

Some 10,000 fans were allowed into the Etihad Stadium to witness the team lift the Premier League trophy, something that Guardiola was very grateful for.

"The stadium is not full, but even so, it is much better than without people," he said.

"All the titles are special. This one is different because of the pandemic and the problems we have had. That makes it super special."

The season is far from over for City though, with the Champions League final against Chelsea coming up.

"It is a dream come true for this club," he said.

"It will be our first time [in a Champions League final] and we will give everything to try to win."
