Leonardo not so convinced about Neymar's PSG renewal anymore

The summer transfer market looks like it's going to be one of the most interesting in recent years. A lot of big players are facing uncertain futures and even Neymar's continuation at Paris Saint-Germain is far from guaranteed, despite the club being convinced that he would renew not so long ago.

The Brazilian has been linked with a return to Barcelona, though there are doubts about the Catalans' ability to pay for his move and salary.

Leonardo has been confident of the player's renewal, though that optimism appears to be fading.

"We have to be calm about everything," he said to El Chiringuito on Sunday, when he was in Barcelona to watch PSG's women's team lose to Barcelona in their Champions League semi-final.

Leonardo refused to give any more away, despite being asked specifically about Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

"Today I've come here to watch the women's team," he said.

"Unfortunately we've lost."

The club have been trying to renew both Mbappe and Neymar's contracts, with just one year to run on each of their deals.
