Barcelona and Manchester City will play a friendly in support of ALS

In response to Juan Carlos Unzue being diagnosed with motor neurone disease, Barcelona and Manchester City will play a friendly match against each other to help raise money for the ALS Association.

Everything indicates that the match could be played for the Joan Gamper Trophy, and all proceeds will go towards the fight against motor neurone disease.

It hasn't been ruled out that the women's teams from both clubs will also play against each other to raise further funds, although an exact date hasn't been confirmed as yet.

Given the transfers already confirmed this summer, it will be Pep Guardiola's third time coaching against his former club whilst coach of Manchester City, and the first chance for Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia to face their former team.
