Real Madrid will not execute purchase clause on Hugo Duro

Real Madrid have decided not to keep Hugo Duro on a permanent basis after his season-long loan spell from Getafe.

The 21-year-old joined Los Blancos last summer as an addition for Raul Gonzalez's Castilla side, but he was able to make three appearances for the first team due injury absentees in the early part of 2021.

Real Madrid wanted to keep Hugo Duro at the club, but they were unwilling to meet the four million euro fee required to purchase him.

A few days ago, Los Blancos asked Getafe if they could take the striker on another loan deal for the 2021/22 season, but Los Azulones president Angel Torres said no.

Therefore, Hugo Duro will return to Getafe once his loan at Real Madrid comes to an end on June 30, 2021.

He has already spoken to Michel

Hugo Duro was looking forward to another season playing for Castilla, but after speaking with new Getafe boss Michel Gonzalez he knows that he has a future at the Estadio Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

For the second year in a row, and as a consequence of the impact of COVID-19, Real Madrid are once again being prudent in the market and believe that now is not the time to spend out four million euros for the Spain under-21 striker.
