Cerezo: I don't think Atletico Madrid's fans will forgive Griezmann

The possible swap deal between Atletico Madrid and Barcelona involving Antoine Griezmann and Saul Niguez is still a hot topic around Spain.

Atletico president Enrique Cerezo was asked about the potential transfer at the Madrid Futuro event in the Spanish capital, a foundation which was founded last year to help the city after the COVID crisis.

"You're not talking to the right person," Cerezo said ironically.

He was later asked about whether Atletico fans would forgive Griezmann were he to re-join the club, and he answered as he left the interview.

"I don't think so," Cerezo stated.
