Chelsea 'want to engineer a swap deal between Kingsley Coman and Callum Hudson-Odoi'

Chelsea are keen on replacing Callum Hudson-Odoi with another Champions League winner in Kingsley Coman this summer, reportedly plotting a swap with Bayern Munich. article image The Frenchman's talks over a new deal with the Bundesliga champions have stalled despite Julian Nagelsmann rating the winger, with the club unwilling to match his high wage demands. Bayern have been long-time admirers of Hudson-Odoi, and had a bid for the 20-year-old turned down last summer – not the first time they've made an approach for the Cobham academy graduate. Hudson-Odoi fell out of favour with Thomas Tuchel towards the end of last season and could play a bit-part role in 2021-22 if he sticks around. However, Bayern could finally get their man this summer, with Chelsea hoping to swap the wingers, according to L’Équipe. Coman's deal runs out in 2023 but their contract stand-off means the Bavarians are weighing-up letting the star go, asking for £77m in return. Manchester City and Liverpool are also being linked with the speedster, as were Manchester United before their deal for Jadon Sancho was finalised. Coman scored the winner in the 2019-20 Champions League final and has a staggering trophy cabinet, with 24 titles at just 24-years-old. Hudson-Odoi already has an FA Cup, Champions League and Europa League to his name, but has struggled to assert himself at Stamford Bridge like his fellow academy boys, Reece James and Mason Mount. The Blues are also leading the chase for Erling Haaland this summer, but had their first bid rejected by Borussia Dortmund.
