Hazard trains alone following his return to Real Madrid

Eden Hazard has continued training alone following his return to Real Madrid's pre-season training this week.

Hazard arrived at Valdebebas on Tuesday, alongside Thibaut Courtois and Fede Valverde, before the trio worked away from the main group in the afternoon, and Hazard did the same on Wednesday.

The Belgian began with a session in the gym, before working outdoors with the ball, as the club look to help him get up to speed before the start of the season.

His European Championship campaign came to an end at the Round of 16, as he suffered a muscular injury against Portugal.

Carlo Ancelotti's coaching staff are not rushing Hazard back as they are being careful to a repeat of the muscular injuries that he has suffered in each pre-season that he has had at the club so far.

A decision will be made in the coming days whether he will be available for the pre-season friendly against AC Milan on August 8, which will mark a week until the start of the new season.

The rest of the main group contained three absences: Dani Carvajal, Mariano Diaz and Ferland Mendy.

Mendy and Carvajal are continuing their own respective schedules of recuperation, and whilst the former had been predicted to return at the end of July, the latter's focus is to avoid the repeated muscle injuries that he suffered repeatedly last season.

Mariano is still suffering from muscular injuries.
