Azpilicueta and Christensen close to new Chelsea deal, length revealed

The Athletic report that Cesar Azpilicueta is 'in line' to receive an offer to extend his Chelsea contract.

The captain's current deal expires next summer and there is a risk he could walk away on a free after the end of this campaign.

The report also states that Antonio Rudiger has already been offered fresh terms.

However, the negotiations are still 'at an early stage' at this moment as the Germany international wants a significant pay rise.

According to The Athletic, Andreas Christensen is on the verge of signing a new four-year deal with Chelsea.

The contract will include an option for another year. If triggered, it would see the Dane tied down to the club until 2026. His current deal expires next summer.

The report states the centre-back's wages would be increased. Chelsea are expected to announce the extension soon.

Christensen's new deal will not block Jules Kounde's potential move to Stamford Bridge. If Chelsea decide to sign the Frenchman, he would take Zouma's spot as Kurt will join West Ham in the next few days, if not hours.
