Gary Neville: Man United Should forget about the league If Kane goes to Man City

Speaking to Sky Sports, Gary Neville said: "I would want to see a centre-forward. For me, I'd be going all out to get Harry Kane at Old Trafford.

"If Manchester City is going to buy Kane, why can't we get Kane? Last year we said we need a right-winger, a centre-forward and a centre-back.

"I think they have a great chance [of winning the Premier League if Kane signs]. If Kane goes to Man City, forget about Man United winning the league, forget it.

"If Kane goes to Manchester United, you've got 25, 30 goals in your team. It's gold. Honestly, Kane is gold. Five years of absolute gold."

As per the Times, a tier-one source, Tottenham are 'increasingly likely' to keep Kane at the club for at least another season.

Spurs are reportedly convinced that it is too late in the summer transfer window for Man City to negotiate a deal ahead of the August 31 deadline.

Chairman Daniel Levy is demanding £150 million for Kane while City are prepared to make an offer of £100 million with an additional £20-£30 million in add-ons.
