Man City back out of Ronaldo negotiations, Man United in 'advanced position'

As confirmed by multiple tier-one sources - Fabrizio Romano, Gianluca Di Marzio, Simon Stone and David Ornstein - Manchester City are out of negotiations for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Manchester United are in the driver's seat instead after a sensational turn of events over the past few hours.

As per Romano, City have opted out of a potential deal and have informed Jorge Mendes. He adds that there was never an agreement over personal terms or a transfer fee.
