Nainggolan has licence revoked after drink driving in first week at Antwerp

Radja Nainggolan has had his driving licence revoked for 15 days following a positive test on an alcohol test after being caught speeding in Antwerp.

The Belgian midfielder completed a return to Royal Antwerp one week ago, but he has had far from an ideal start to his return to his former club.

Belgian news outlet HLN have reported that Nainggolan failed a breathalyser test after being stopped by police on Saturday night for speeding.

Nainggolan is sorry

The 33-year-old has since issued an apology for his actions, in which he stated that it fell below the standards he needs to uphold as a role model for young people in his hometown.

Whilst he waits to find out the sanction he will face, Nainggolan will continue his process of adaptation to his new side.
