Pogba 'WILL be involved in Man Utd's opening game of the season against Leeds'

Paul Pogba will reportedly start the season with Manchester United before the transfer windows across Europe close next month.

The French midfielder continues to be linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain and has rejected a £50m contract offer to remain with the Red Devils.

United are clearly very keen to keep him but run the risk of losing the 28-year-old who cost them a world record £89million back in 2016, for nothing next summer when his contract expires.

Talks over are still yet to get off the ground and so they could be tempted to sell Pogba this summer, with a price tag of £43m mooted.

However, the Telegraph claim he will be a part of the squad when the season gets underway.

The France international joining up with United’s squad this weekand has begun preparations for the Premier League opener against Leeds  on August 14.

He was due back last week but his return was delayed when the club had a Covid-19 outbreak.

Pogba hails from the town of Lagny-sur-Marne, which is about 22miles from the centre of Paris, so a move back to the region would have some appeal.
