Raheem Sterling 'to restart talks with Manchester City over new contract'

Raheem Sterling is set to restart talks with Manchester City over a new contract.

Sterling has two years remaining on his current deal and has been linked with Arsenal and Tottenham, as reported by The Sun.

There were some difficult moments for Sterling last season as he found himself left out of the starting lineup at times.

However, he responded by featuring prominently for England at Euro 2020 and scoring three goals.

Having split from his agent, the winger handled his last round of contract talks himself but was unable to reach an agreement with City.

Sterling remains part of Pep Guardiola's plans at City despite the arrival of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa.

Since joining from Liverpool in 2015, Sterling has played 292 times for City and has scored 114 goals.

During that time Sterling has won three Premier League titles, one FA Cup and four League Cups.

At the age of 26, Sterling still has much of his career ahead of him and he will want to ensure that he can get regular playing time if he remains at City.
