Real Betis vs Cadiz Football Preview and Prediction 2021

Real Betis vs Cadiz predictions for Friday’s La Liga action at Benito Villamarin. The hosts are fancied to bag their first win of the campaign against fellow Andalusians Cadiz. Read on for our free La Liga predictions and betting tips.

Real Betis have lost just two of their 23 La Liga fixtures in the calendar year, winning 11 including three of their last five.
Los Verdiblancos have lost only to Barcelona in their last 14 home games, winning eight.
Betis won both La Liga meetings between the teams in 2020/21.

Betis taken to outclass Cadiz

Barcelona are the only team to have beaten Real Betis at Benito Villamarin since the start of last December, and Los Verdiblancos are firmly fancied to seal their first victory of the new season when they entertain fellow Andalusians Cadiz this Friday evening.

Betis kicked off their campaign with a fair 1-1 draw against Mallorca at Son Moix last weekend, and they should back that result up with all three points here. After a sixth place finish last term, Manuel Pellegrini’s men are expected to be in the European qualification mix again this season and there’s no reason to believe that they can’t resume from where they left off in 2020/21.

Los Verdiblancos have won eight and drawn five of their last 14 home matches, while they’ve also lost just twice from 23 La Liga starts overall since the turn of the year, winning 11.

That sequence includes a 0-1 success at Cadiz in February, a result which secured a league double for Betis over Los Piratas last term following victory via the same score-line here in December.

Cadiz performed with immense credit following their promotion to finish 12th last season, though Alvaro Cervera’s side could find things a lot more difficult this time around. They needed a 97th minute goal to grab a fortunate home 1-1 draw against Levante on the opening weekend, and we feel that they may get a shade outclassed in this contest.
