Solskjaer indicates Varane is still a Real Madrid player: It's not 100 percent done yet

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted that Raphael Varane's protracted move from Real Madrid is still to be completed, meaning the Frenchman, officially at least, is still contracted to Los Blancos.

Real Madrid and United have agreed a deal for around 40 million euros for the French centre-back, though he is yet to train with the Old Trafford side or signed his contract due to a coronavirus isolation period.

"He [Varane] hasn't trained with us and we haven't dotted over all the Is and crossed the Ts," Solskjaer told the press ahead of Manchester United's Premier League opener against Leeds United.

"Things happen and things take time. Unfortunately with the isolation, it's not 100 percent done yet. I can probably say that he won't be [involved against Leeds] because he hasn't trained with us.

"It always happens that there's little things. The big hold up was the isolation and quarantine but he's in Manchester. It'll be done soon."
