Chelsea star Pulisic forced off field during USA's game due to 'slight ankle injury'

U.S. men's national team star Christian Pulisic was forced out of the second half of Wednesday's World Cup qualifier against Honduras.

The attacker limped off in the 62nd minute with the game tied 1-1 and didn't look too comfortable.

His team won the game 4-1 eventually. After the game, USMNT head coach Gregg Berhalter said (via Goal.com): "Christian has a slight ankle injury.

"We’re going to get more info on it when he goes back to London, the severity of it."

Pulisic will now return to Chelsea to undergo further scans on the problem - fingers crossed it is not something that rules him out for a long time.

This was only Pulisic's second game since his return after he tested positive for the coronavirus a couple of weeks ago.
