'I think it's personal': Varane opens up on leaving Real Madrid

"I needed it, I think it's a personal feeling. Needed to have a new challenge, needed to experience other emotions," Raphael Varane has told Telefoot when asked about his Real Madrid exit.

Varane has already made 4 appearances for Manchester United, recording one assist and one clean sheet.

The Frenchman was seemingly clear in his intentions to leave Real Madrid in the summer as his departure wasn't a problem at all for both parties.

The 28-year-old won 18 trophies with the Whites, including 4 Champions League cups.
