Speaking on Onze TV, Joan Laporta's advisor Enric Masip said: "Laporta has Koeman right now, but he knows that Xavi will coach Barca one day. With Laporta as president? Why not.
"Right now, we are in a dynamic that is not the most positive. What we have to try to do is change the dynamic," Masip added.
Ronald Koeman is believed to be on borrowed time at Camp Nou as his Barcelona side continues to stutter in the open stages of 2021/22 campaign.
Meanwhile, managerial substitutes for the under-fire Dutchman continues to pile up. The latest on the long list is Belgium head coach Roberto Martinez. However, former Barca midfielder Xavi remains the favourite.
