Liverpool confirm Keita safety amid military coup in Guinea
Naby Keita is currently in his native Guinea, where special forces seized power in a coup.

The army closed the country's air borders, and the World Cup qualifier against Morocco, which was supposed to take place on Monday, has been called off.

Liverpool have confirmed that the midfielder is not in danger. The club is trying
to bring him back to the UK.

"We are in constant contact with Naby and have had regular communication via his national team management," Liverpool spokesperson said, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

"We are satisfied that he is safe and well cared for. Obviously the situation is fluid and we will maintain regular dialogue with the relevant authorities as we work to get Naby back to Liverpool in a timely and secure manner."
