Mason Greenwood and full list of nominees for the Golden Boy award

Our 'starboy' Mason Greenwood has been nominated for the prestigious Golden Boy award.

The prize was won by Erling Haaland in 2020 while the likes of Wayne Rooney, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe have been proud recipients in the past.

This year's nominees also include:

- Bukayo Saka [Arsenal]

- Pedri [Barcelona]

- Jude Bellingham [Borussia Dortmund]

- Jamal Musiala [Bayern Munich]

- Eduardo Camavinga [Real Madrid]

All the names on the list are obviously exciting talents but the Manchester United youngster deserves credit for overcoming a dip in form, unwanted media attention after the Iceland incident and whatnot, to make a brilliant start to the season.

The 19-year-old has already scored thrice in four Premier League games for the Red Devils. Hopefully, this will help Greenwood make a comeback into the England squad as well.
